Administration on Saturday directed Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV’s) not to travel on highway on April 1st and 2nd in view of urgent repairs and up-gradation works of airstrip stretch along NH-44 near Bijbehara, Anantnag.
J&K Traffic Department officials informed that no heavy motor vehicles (load carriers) shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu and vice-versa along NH-44 near Bijbehara Anantnag.
He apprised the movement of heavy motor vehicles will remain suspended on 01.04.2024 from 0400 hrs to 0700 hrs and on 02.04.2024. He advised truckers to avoid journey on the highway on mentioned time so that repair work will be done smoothly.
“No HMVs (Load carrier) shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu and vice-versa on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) in view of urgent repairs/upgradation of Airstrip stretch along NH-44 near Bijbihara, Anantnag on 01-04-2024 (Monday) from 0400 hrs to 0700 hrs (Tuesday) on 02-04-2024. Truckers are advised to avoid journey on Jammu Srinagar NHW on 01-04-2024 (Monday) from 0400 hrs to 0700 hrs (Tuesday) on 02-04-2024 and plan their journey accordingly,” he added.
