TV personality and social media influencer Uorfi Javed has now approached Maharashtra State Commission for Women over comments made by BJP leader Chitra Wagh. This follows just days after a police complaint filed against her by Chitra Kishor Wagh, Maharashtra Mahila Morcha president, for alleged vulgarity.
Uorfi Javed claimed that Chitra Wagh has made comments against her in the public domain. The social media influencer alleged that these comments instigate attacks on her. On Friday, Uorfi Javed reached Maharashtra State Commission for Women office and met chairperson Rupali Chakankar.
Uorfi Javed, through her lawyer Nitin Satpute, has demanded action against Chitra Wagh.
Speaking to India Today, Satpute said, “Our complaint against Wagh is for threatening Uorfi Javed. A member of the ruling party threatening a person means government supports her threat. These comments can cause harm to Javed. We will also approach Mumbai Police to get a restraining order against Wagh for not making further comments on Javed.”
The actress said, “I don’t even want a trial or that bullshit, I’m ready to go to jail right now if you disclose your and your family member’s assets. Tell the world how much a politician earns and from where. Also from time to time multiple men in your party have been accused of harassment women Chitra Wagh.”
“Started my new year with another police complaint from another Politician! (sic),” Uorfi wrote.
Uorfi Javed gained fame after her stint on Bigg Boss OTT. Before that, Uorfi acted in several TV shows, including Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania, Chandra Nandini, etc. Uorfi Javed is currently seen on Splitsvilla X4 as a contestant.
