LG administration has abysmally failed To Implement it’s Own Power Schedule – Vakil

J&K People’s Conference senior vice president and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil expressed serious concern over power crisis in the Valley and said that the unscheduled power cuts have aggravated woes of people in valley especially in Rafiabad and Sopore.

“Despite a load-shedding schedule announced by the government, unscheduled and frequent power cuts continue have unabated and people are facing massive inconvenience due to power cuts,” Vakil added.

Vakil said that the power cuts are randomised in Rafiabad and Sopore and the Power department has “abysmally failed” to implement its own given schedule.

“It is preposterous that people have been forced to go without electricity for days even in the metered areas. The power crises is worse in non-metered areas where people are rendered helpless in the absence of electricity,” Vakil said.

Abdul Gani Vakil while touring different villages of Rafiabad including Zaloora, Sagipora, Harwan, Hadipora and Tugershareef further maintained that the present power crisis has exposed the tall claims of UT administration of enhancing energy supply.

“There is no schedule for power which is causing lot of inconvenience to general public especially the old and ailing as well as students who are preparing for examinations to be held in December and March, ” he said.

Vakil exhorted the UT government to implement its own schedule in letter and spirits so that people in general & students in particular will not suffer more.
