There is no greater spectacle than watching India and Pakistan, two cricket-mad countries, so when they face off in a multi-nation event, face off in a multination event.
While defeats are insufferable, victories are cherished like festivals. The Pakistani supporters are the ones who would know it best; every time their side loses to India, they have started breaking television sets.
However, this year’s excitement around the T20 World Cup 2024 match between IND and PAK resulted in a shootout and violence.
Even before the bitter rivals faced off in the main event, a horrific occurrence rocked Lahore city. Saad Ahmed, a YouTuber, filmed a vlog on the build-up to the June 9 India vs. Pakistan match in New York City at the city’s mobile market. He got in touch with a security guard who wasn’t interested in being in the video after talking to a few individuals about the face-off.
After being questioned repeatedly, the security guy lost his temper and shot the YouTuber to death. According to a number of stories, Saad was taken to the hospital immediately but was pronounced dead there.
An Instagram handle, named khattti.meethi.baateinn, also shared the news of Saad’s murder on Instagram, sharing one of his old videos. The caption of the video also included the statement of the accused security guard.
“He kept on bringing the mic close to my face and filming. I lost my temper and fired at him,” the guard was quoted as saying in the Instagram post.
The YouTuber was seen chatting with the guard on CCTV footage prior to being shot. According to reports, the local police have apprehended the culprits.
