The SKIMS Governing Body Meeting was headed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today in the Civil Secretariat.
This was the first gathering following the Governing Body of SKIMS Soura, Srinagar, reorganization.
The conference approved several agenda items in principle in order to improve the overall operation of the reputable health institution. It also held long deliberations on important areas of patient-care services.
In order to provide patients with high-quality, reasonably priced, and easily accessible healthcare services, the Lieutenant Governor instructed the relevant authorities to implement systemic changes. He said it was imperative to make sure all the medical equipment required was being purchased and operating as intended.
“We must focus on people-centred approach for accessible, equitable and efficient delivery of healthcare services. We are committed to affordable access to public healthcare and to build a healthy society,” the Lt Governor further added.
The Governing Body members also contributed insightful ideas and opinions regarding the expansion of SKIMS’s medical facilities.
