A man suffered severe electric shock while repairing an electrical fault in Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur district. The technician was fixing an electrical fault when the power supply was suddenly restored, leading to the man getting electrocuted.
The power supply was disconnected before the start of the repair work, but was turned on from a nearby substation, which led to the accident.
The injured technician was rushed to the district hospital for immediate medical attention.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, the injured man, who fell unconscious due to the electrical shock, was seen hanging from the electric pole.
A senior official of Sultanpur’s administration visited the man, identified as Indrabhan, at the district hospital.
The official told India Today that he spoke to the electricity department officials and asked them to initiate action against those responsible for the incident.
