Two houses, bakery shops gutted fire in Bandipora

Two residential houses and two bakery shops were gutted in an overnight fire mishap in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

An official told a news agency that a massive fire broke out on Tuesday night in the Ashtangoo village of Bandipora. The fire resulted in the destruction of two residential houses and two bakery shops.

The victims of the fire have been identified as Ghulam Mohammad Ganai, Mohammad Akbar Ganai, Mohammad Rajab, Mohammad Sultan (sons of Habibullah Ganai), and Billal Ahmad Ganai (son of Mohammad Sultan Ganai).

The official added that the cause of the fire is currently unknown. However, a case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
