The traffic on 270-km Jammu-Srinagar national highway will remain suspended between Ramban and Banihal stretch tonight for urgent repairs, a traffic department official said on Monday.
The vehicular moment from both the sides highway, the only all weather road linking Kashmir with rest of the country, will remain suspended from 6 pm Monday till the completion of the repair work, the official said.
He said the decision was taken on the intimation of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) which is carrying out urgent repair and maintenance work between Ramban and Banihal during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
