In its continuous offensive against menace of drug abuse Anantnag police arrested Three drug peddlers along with contraband substance.
Police party from Police Station Uttersoo laid down a naka at Uttersoo chowk intercepted a Truck bearing registration No. JK01AQ- 1331.
During search of the truck police party recovered about 260 gms of charas like substance (in the shape of sticks)from the said truck.
Two persons boarding in the vehicle namely Shakeel Ah S/O Mohd Lateef R/O Mantalal and Sadam Khan S/O Mohd Ashraf R/O Katwalat Udhampur were arrest.Contraband as well as Vehicle used for the commission of crime was also seize.
Another Police party from Police Post GBS Anantnag laid down a naka at Sadiq Abad Anantnag, during naka checking one suspicious person after noticed the police party tried to fled away from the spot but was tactfully apprehend by the police party.
He was identify as Suhail Ahmad Bhat S/O Gh Qadir Bhat R/O Krangsoo Anantnag. On his personal search, 40 Grams of Charas like substance recovered from his possession. Accuse was arrest and contraband seiz on spot.
