Sunny Deol Seeks Blessings at Golden Temple Ahead of Gadar 2 Release

Sunny Deol made a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, seeking divine blessings before the release of his upcoming film Gadar 2. Donning a yellow kurta pyjama paired with an olive green turban, he was captured praying within the temple premises and also took photos with some of his fans.

Sunny Deol, who represents Punjab’s Gurdaspur constituency in the Lok Sabha, is actively engaged in promoting Gadar 2 alongside his co-star Ameesha Patel. Interestingly, Ameesha Patel was not present alongside Sunny during his visit to the Golden Temple on Saturday. Notably, the release of Gadar 2 was initially set to coincide with OMG 2, but Akshay Kumar has since postponed the release date of his film.

In addition to his visit to the Golden Temple, Sunny Deol had also paid a visit to the Tanot Mata temple in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on the previous Wednesday. Accompanied by officials from the Border Security Force (BSF), who oversee the temple’s maintenance, Sunny reached the temple via helicopter. The Tanot Mata temple gained prominence for enduring heavy artillery fire from Pakistan during both the 1965 and 1971 wars.

Gadar 2 features Utkarsh Sharma reprising his role as an adult, having portrayed the son of Tara Singh and Sakeena in his childhood in the first installment, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which was re-released in theaters on June 9. The trailer for Gadar 2 was recently unveiled, with Sunny sharing it on his Instagram account. In his post, he emphasized Tara Singh’s determination to fight for his family and country once more, hinting at a stirring narrative set during the turbulent Crush India Movement of 1971. The trailer also provides a glimpse of the iconic hand pump and depicts Tara Singh’s mission to rescue Charan Jeet Singh (Utkarsh Sharma) from the clutches of the Pakistani Army, this time venturing into Pakistani territory. Gadar 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 11, ahead of Independence Day.
