WhatsApp new feature: A new function has been added to WhatsApp, a popular messaging and calling programme with billions of users. Users can now share the screen of their phone during video conversations. Screen-sharing is a great tool for workplace meetings and other situations since it enables the host to share the content visible on their screen with others.
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, revealed the upgrade on his Facebook page, writing, “We’re adding the ability to share your screen during a video call on WhatsApp.” As one of the key features for group meetings, WhatsApp’s most recent change might give popular video calling apps like Google Meet and Zoom fierce competition.
WhatsApp users can now collaborate on projects, share presentations, and more thanks to its screen-sharing features. Additionally, it will now be simple to assist friends and relatives with technology. For instance, you can use WhatsApp’s video call screen-sharing capability to assist your parents if they need to update something in their phone’s settings. As with any other video conferencing programme, users will have complete control over the screen-sharing capability. It implies that individuals can halt sharing content at any time.
Users can access this function by simply clicking the “Share” icon when on a video conversation, then selecting whether to share a particular application or the entire screen. Small meetings might be readily organised on WhatsApp because it now offers video calls with up to 32 people.
Landscape Mode for video calls was also unveiled by WhatsApp. It is now possible to make video conversations in landscape orientation “for a wider and more immersive viewing and sharing experience on your phone.”
