A cargo flight of Saudi Airlines has made an emergency landing at Kolkata airport. According to airport officials, the pilot had informed about the breakage of the windshield of the aircraft in the air, after which the emergency landing of the flight was done. The aircraft landed safely on the runway at 12.02 pm on Saturday (April 15).

All necessary arrangements were made at the airport before landing. Full emergency was declared at the airport. Later, after the safe landing of the aircraft, the full emergency was lifted.

Recently, an Abu Dhabi-bound Etihad Airways flight returned to the Bangalore International Airport shortly after take-off due to a technical snag.

The airline had told that the landing of the aircraft took place at Bengaluru airport. The airline said that the plane had a normal landing at the Bengaluru airport. After this the flight was inspected and later left for its destination.

Indigo Airlines had an emergency landing last week

Last week itself, an Indigo Airlines flight going from Bangalore to Varanasi had to make an emergency landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, Telangana. According to reports, after receiving a technical fault, the pilot contacted ATC, after which the aircraft made an emergency landing.

Earlier, full emergency was declared at Indira Gandhi International Airport. According to airport officials, a bird hit the Dubai-bound Fed Ex plane shortly after take-off. After this, full emergency was declared at the airport.
