Sajid Nadiadwala has provided an update on the second installment of his directorial debut film, Kick. The filmmaker mentioned that Salman Khan has read the script for the movie, which is now fully completed. He further stated that they are waiting for a more suitable time to release this action-packed film.
When Sajid made his directorial debut with Kick in 2014, he not only presented another entertaining film featuring Salman Khan to the audience, but also introduced actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda in a grand Bollywood production. Nawazuddin portrayed the antagonist, while Randeep played the role of a cop. Kick also starred Jacqueline Fernandez and achieved a box office collection of ₹200 crore.
Speaking about Kick 2, Sajid expressed that Kick is his cherished intellectual property (IP), receiving an overwhelming response from both the audience and the film industry whenever he discusses the sequel. He assured that there will be a continuation of Kick and that the screenplay is already written, but it requires some time. They aim for a larger scale and a more opportune moment to release it.
Sajid added, “We need the resurgence of cinema-going culture for us to make Kick. Once things return to normal, I’ll be prepared to commence the production of Kick 2. Salman has also shown interest, and now we await the excitement of the audience to return so that we can plan Kick 2 accordingly.”
Salman Khan was last seen in the film “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,” which also featured Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Jassi Gill, Jagapati Babu, Raghav Juyal, Bhumika Chawla, Bhagyashree, Siddharth Nigam, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and Vijender Singh. The movie marked the Bollywood debut of Shehnaaz and Palak, while Ram Charan and Abdu Rozik made cameo appearances.
Next up, Salman is ready to entertain the audience with the third installment of his successful spy franchise, tentatively titled “Tiger 3.” He will reprise his role as an Indian spy alongside Katrina Kaif, who has also portrayed a spy in the previous films “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Tiger Zinda Hai.” Emraan Hashmi will join the franchise as the antagonist in “Tiger 3,” while reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan will make a special appearance in the film, expected to release this Diwali. Besides “Tiger 3,” Salman also has “Tiger Vs Pathaan” in the works.
