Restoration work under progress along Jmu-Sri highway: J&K Traffic Department

Following triggering of landslides and shooting stones, the J&K Traffic department official said Restoration work is in progress on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. People are advised to avoid journey on NH-44 till the road is clear.

Traffic department official said, “Jammu Srinagar NHW blocked at many places between Nashri and Banihal at Dalwas, Mehar, Gangroo, Mom Passi, Lower Nachlana, Kishtwari Pathar due to mudslide/shooting stones.

“Thousands of HMVs are stuck between Dalwas and Banihal. Restoration work is going on. People are advised to avoid journey on NH-44 till the road is clear”, he said
