Reliance Retail introduces the second-generation JioBook laptop in India, following the launch of the first version in October 2022. Priced at ₹16,499, the JioBook is marketed as ‘India’s First Learning Book’ and aims to enhance learning for all age groups. It will be available at Reliance Digital’s online and offline stores and on Amazon starting from Saturday.
The JioBook is a lightweight and budget-friendly 4G-LTE powered e-learning device with eight hours of battery life, always-on 4G connectivity, and 100 GB of Cloud storage through Digiboxx. It features an anti-glare HD display, advanced JioOS operating system, dual-band WiFi capabilities, and a powerful octa-core chipset for smooth multitasking. The laptop comes in a blue shade with an 11.6-inch compact anti-glare HD display and supports standard trackpad gestures.
The JioBook offers 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of storage, expandable up to 256GB with an SD card. Users can access apps like Jio TV and JioCloud games and learn coding languages (Java, Python, and Pearl) with JioBIAN. It includes USB-A, HDMI, and audio jack ports for connectivity.
A Reliance Retail spokesperson stated that they are committed to introducing innovative products that empower individuals in their learning journey, making the JioBook their latest offering with advanced features and seamless connectivity options. Earlier this month, Jio also launched internet-enabled Jio Bharat phones at ₹999, positioned as the lowest entry price for an internet-enabled phone.
