Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will lead a significant meeting with top leaders from Jammu and Kashmir today, as per sources. This meeting aligns with the visit of the Election Commission of India to the region in preparation for upcoming assembly elections.
The meeting, scheduled for 6 PM at the All India Congress Committee office in New Delhi, will include prominent figures such as JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani, Working President Raman Bhalla, AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Tariq Hamid Karra, and former JKPCC President Peerzada Muhammad Sayeed. Other attendees include former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, former MP and Minister Ch Lal Singh, JKPCC Senior Vice President Mula Ram, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, and Senior Vice President Ghulam Nabi Monga.
Gandhi will gather feedback from J&K leaders on the forthcoming Assembly elections and the current regional situation. The discussion will focus on strategies to strengthen the Congress party in the Union Territory ahead of the elections.
