Leading up to their wedding scheduled for September in Rajasthan, Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha conducted prayers at the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Their visit on Saturday included a small religious ceremony at the temple. Parineeti adorned a pink saree, while Raghav wore a yellow dhoti complemented by a red dupatta across his shoulders.
The couple offered worship to Lord Shiva from the Nandihal of the temple, as access to the inner sanctum was restricted due to the ongoing Shravan month, during which such entry is prohibited.
The temple’s priest, Yash Guru, officiated the ceremony, sharing with ANI, “During the Sawan month, numerous notable figures seek the blessings of Lord Mahakal by visiting here. Similarly, Raghav Chadha and Parineeti Chopra came to receive the blessings of Lord Mahakal. They witnessed the chanting of Rudra Sukta and the recitation of Shanti Path by the Brahmins.”
In recent times, Raghav Chadha had been suspended from the Rajya Sabha on grounds of “breach of privilege” following allegations of ‘fraud.’ He even updated his Instagram bio to read ‘Suspended Member of Parliament, India.’ Despite this, he is currently participating alongside Parineeti in their wedding preparations.
Details about Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s wedding: The couple is reportedly set to wed at The Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur. While the venue hasn’t been officially confirmed, a recent report by the Times of India cited an anonymous source stating, “The wedding will be a grand affair. Parineeti is keeping the festive arrangements and other specifics confidential. Her team is meticulously coordinating the plans and dates. She will fully immerse herself in wedding preparations during the initial week of September.” Following the wedding, the couple is expected to host a reception in Gurugram.
Parineeti and Raghav’s engagement took place at Kapurthala House in New Delhi on May 13, attended by close friends and family, including Parineeti’s cousin, actress Priyanka Chopra, and several prominent politicians. Notable guests included Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
