NYK Kargil organizes awareness program on screening of female cancer, menstrual health

Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Kargil, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India in collaboration with Block Medical Officer, Tai Suru and environmental, social and sports associations of Tai Suru today organized an awareness program on screening of female cancer and awareness on menstrual health.

A large number of women of Tai Suru block participated in the program. The program was attended by gynecologist Dr Nasreen Fatima, Incharge Police Post Sankoo (SI), Tsering Dolkar, District Youth Officer, NYK Kargil, Jigmat Spaldon and Social Worker at Special Cell for Women, Hassina Batool.

Dr Nasreen spoke on female cancer and menstrual health and hygiene and also demonstrated how to examine breast cancer by themselves and gave different examples.

Hassina enlightened the gathering about the help provided by the Special Cell for Women to all women who are facing domestic violence.

Tsering gave awareness about cybercrimes with various examples and explained various ways to deal with it.

Jigmat briefed about various works of the NYK Kargil and encouraged the gathering to participate in such awareness programs.

Later, the women of Tai Suru thanked the NYK Kargil for organizing such programs in far-flung areas. In the end, Haider Ali, president of environmental, social and sports associations Tai Suru presented vote of thanks.
