Eco Club, Faculty of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, organized the “NSS Camp—Clean India—Green India” on February 2, 2023. The main objective behind the celebration was to keep our country clean by motivating the youth and spreading the idea of cleanliness. It was a day to educate people about the harm caused by a polluted environment. Various events were organized, like cleanliness, dance competitions, rangoli competitions, and oral presentation competitions. The students enthusiastically took part in each activity.
The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, and the welcome address was given by Dr. Amit Mittal, Dean of Pharmacy. He explained the significance of the occasion and encouraged everyone to take part.Certificates were awarded to the winners. All the faculty members and students worked hard for the success of this activity. At the end of the event, Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Principal, S.L.S. Memorial College of Pharmacy, delivered a vote of thanks to all the participants, students, and faculty.
Pro Chancellor, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, congratulated staff, students, and members of the Placebo Club for the successful conduct of the event. The Vice Chancellor, Dr.Virender Singh appreciated the efforts put in by students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Eco Club and conveyed his best wishes for organizing these types of activities in future also.
