The District Administration Kulgam today organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
The main Public Outreach Camp was held at Kulgam under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat.
The grievance redressal cum outreach Camp witnessed participation of people, public representatives and delegations from Yaripora, Dainipora, Gujjarpora, Liroo and other areas who apprised the DC about their issues and grievances besides projected various demands of developmental nature in their areas.
All the grievances and issues of people were listened to by the DC patiently and some of the grievances of immediate nature were redressed on spot.
Officers and heads of departments also responded to the queries of the people pertaining to their departments and apprised the participants about schemes of their departments.
Earlier, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kulgam, Mohmmad Imran Khan also briefed about the action taken on various Grievances and issues raised in previous Block Diwas.
It was also shared that both the Aspirational blocks of district, viz Manzgam and D.K.Marg figured in the top ten ranking blocks under Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) in the 2nd edition of rankings of the UT which was recently released.
ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, JDP Zahid Sajjad, ACR Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, ACD Mohammad Imran, ACP Shurjeel Ali, GM DIC Bashir Ahmad, CMO, CEO and other officers and officials also attended the programme.
