As a part of ‘National Science Day: NSD-2023’ celebration Ladakh Science Foundation organized a science exposure program for the Ladakhi students to ISRO, U.R Rao Satellite Centre & Space Museum – VITM, Bangalore.
40 Ladakhi students have participated in the program. They got hands on exposure to various state-of-the-art technologies used in the field of Satellite, Launch vehicle and space applications area.
They were also apprised of the various career opportunities, scholarship schemes such as PMSSS etc.
Most of the students are from far-flung and remote area Govt. schools in Ladakh such as Hanle, Lingshed, Sathokargyam, Chumathang, Nyoma, Gya, Wanla, Nubra, Shara, Chiktan, Kargil, Koyul, Hanu etc.
LSF has resolved to help, support and mentor these economically weaker section students in their career growth.
