A police constable was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Jammu on Sunday. The deceased, identified as Vivek Dogra from Ward-08 in Jammu, was stationed in Srinagar and had returned home two days prior, officials reported.
Vivek’s brother, Sahil Dogra, noted that after Vivek’s return, he left unusually late at night with a local resident. When Sahil did not see his brother the following morning, he reached out to the resident who had accompanied Vivek. The resident informed Sahil that he had dropped Vivek off at around 11:30 p.m. and suggested that Vivek might have left again.
While searching for his brother, Sahil discovered that Vivek’s body was found near an electric transformer in their neighborhood. The police have conducted a post-mortem, but the results have not yet been shared with the family.
Sahil has called on security agencies to thoroughly investigate his brother’s death, expressing disbelief that Vivek would have left the locality to roam around. “We don’t know what happened to him,” Sahil said.
