According to a report, the 16th edition of the IPL will either begin on March 31 or April 1, 2023. On the other hand, the World Test Championship final will likely be held from June 7 to 11

Cricket fans all over Imdia, are waiting in baited breath for two of the biggest events in the calendar in 2023, the Indian Premier League and the finals of the World Test Championships. However, now it seems that the wait is finally going to be over as the starting dates for both marquee events have come to light.
According to a report by Cricbuzz, the 16th edition of the IPL will either begin on March 31 or April 1, 2023. In fact, the report also states that the tournament will likely kick of at Ahmedabad since the Gujarat Titans are the defending champions of the IPL, having won the trophy in 2022. On the other hand, the World Test Championship final will likely be held from June 7 to 11, according to the same report. Although the International Cricket Council has not officially announced the date, it is expected to be held on the above mentioned dates, with a reserve day being kept for rain interruptions.
This means that the start date of the World Test Championships final could be neck and neck to the final of the IPL 2023, as according the to the report, the BCCI has finalized two dates for the final, May 28 or June 4, and both dates are quite close to the start of the championship.
India are currently fourth on the World Test Championships table, behind Australia, South Africa and Sri Lanka. However, they have six Test matches remaining before the start of the WTC final – two against Bangladesh in December, and four against Australia in February-March at home. Favourable results in all these matches will propel them to 2nd on the table and they could compete in the final at The Oval in London.India are also schedule to play three ODIs vs Australia after the four Test Matches, with the final ODI expected on March 22, just 10 days before the tentative start to the IPL 2023.
