G20 success, Moon mission and a farewell: PM Modi’s Lok Sabha speech

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the Lok Sabha on the first day of the special session of Parliament. In his speech, he covered a wide range of subjects which included the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon and the successful hosting of the 18th G20 Summit.

Here are the top points of PM Modi’s speech.

  • G20 Summit success is that of the entire country, not of one person alone or one party.
  • This is the time to move forward while remembering the parliamentary journey of 75 years.
  • Before Independence, this Parliament was the place of the imperial legislative council. After Independence, it got the identity of Sansad Bhawan. While it is true that constructing this building was the decision of the foreign rulers, but we can never forget and can say it proudly that the sweat, hard work and money used in building it was of my countrymen.
  • The light of the first dawn of Amritkaal, a new faith in the nation, new confidence, new enthusiasm, new dreams, new resolutions and new strength of the nation is filling it.
  • Today, the achievements of Indians are being discussed with pride everywhere.
  • We might be going to the new Parliament, but the old building will continue to inspire the coming generations.
