In a meeting held at the district headquarters, Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan, along with Senior Superintendent of Police, Abdul Qayyum took stock of arrangements for the upcoming Independence Day celebration.
DC also appointed a team of officers, headed by ADDC Doda, to oversee the overall arrangements. During the meeting, the Chief Education Officer was directed to ensure the participation of all government and private schools in the celebrations, with students wearing proper cultural attire. DC Doda also reviewed preparations for decoration on the day of the event.
Several committees have been formed to manage seating arrangements, display departmental activities and government schemes, oversee venue management, etc.
Security, drinking water, and power supply arrangements for the event were thoroughly discussed and finalised.
Present at the meeting were Additional District Development Commissioner, Pran Singh; ADC, Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti; ACD Phulial Singh; ACP Doda, Ashfaq Khanji; ACR Doda, Sanjeev Kumar; GM DIC Doda Idrees Lone, other senior district officers and representatives of the private schools of Doda town.
DC also discussed with the representatives of private schools the arrangements for the Independence Day and asked them to participate in the celebrations with patriotic fervor.
