Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar has emphasized the importance of prompt resolution of public grievances and strict monitoring of attendance throughout the offices of the district.
The DC gave these instructions to district officers in a meeting held today at Mini Secretariat, Shopian convened to review the JK Smadhan portal, a unified grievance redressal and monitoring system.
This portal allows citizens to lodge grievances online, through a mobile app, or by post.
To ensure accountability, the DC also stressed the need for strict monitoring of attendance through modern & smart biometric systems and the salary drawal depending on the satisfactory attendance reports.
Officers were directed to ensure biometric attendance of themselves as well as all sub-ordinate staff, registering attendance both at arrival and departure.
By focusing on these areas, the DC aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government services in Shopian.
