DC Kishtwar listens to people’s issues at Panchayat Badhat

To redress the grievances of people at their doorstep, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav, today conducted a public outreach camp under weekly Block Diwas Programme here at Panchayat Badhat of Block Drabshalla.
He was accompanied by BDC Chairman, Suraj Kumar, ACP, Zakir Hussain Wani; BDO Drabshalla, Tariq Syed Suharwardy and other District and sectoral officers.
During the camp several delegations from the Panchayat Badhat and adjoining areas led by local PRIs highlighted public demands and grievances. They demanded up-gradation infrastructure of the health, education and tourism sector.
After giving patient hearing, the DC assured them that their genuine demands and grievances will be redressed in a time bound manner.
Several grievances were also redressed on spot with the intervention of concerned officers.
The DC advised the people to avail the benefits of welfare schemes including Amnesty scheme of PDD, Golden Card under Sehat Scheme and other income generating schemes.
He also inspected the stalls put up by the line departments to showcase the schemes aimed to generate employment and to enhance the income of agriculture and allied activities.
The District officers also made awareness about various individual beneficiary oriented schemes of their departments.
Deputy Commissioner also distributed prosthetic aids provided by the Social welfare Department in the presence of DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed and other District Officers.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner, in presence of BDC chairman, inaugurated Rural Development Department works including the foot paths and the PMAY-G houses.
He also laid the foundation stone of the Construction building of BDC office Drabshalla.
