BJP first candidates list: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its first list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on Thursday. The list was revealed despite the fact that the Election Commission has yet to announce the dates for the two states’ elections.
The BJP has named 21 candidates for Chhattisgarh in its initial list, including five women. In addition, the party has named 39 candidates for Madhya Pradesh, including five women.
The statement comes a day after the Central Election Committee of the BJP evaluated the party’s vote preparations in the two states. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several senior party leaders were present at the meeting.
According to insiders, PM Modi has directed the top BJP brass to release the initial list of candidates as soon as possible so that the party has ample time to prepare for the elections.
According to reports, the initial list is focused on seats where the party believes it is weak.
