Yoga guru Ramdev appeared before the Supreme Court on Tuesday and tendered an unconditional apology for violating the top court’s order for misleading advertisements of Patanjali’s medicinal products.
Baba Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved managing director Acharya Balkrishna were directed to appear in person in the Supreme Court in the contempt proceedings related to the misleading advertisements case.
The court had summoned Ramdev and Balkrishna after taking exception to the company’s failure to respond to the notice issued in the case relating to advertisements of the firm’s products and their effectiveness.
“We are tendering an unconditional apology. He (Baba Ramdev) is here personally present to apologise,” the advocate representing Patanjali told the court.
