At least five people were killed and several injured after a speeding truck crushed pedestrians who had gathered at Gola Behraich Highway in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri to take stock of an accident between a scooty and a car. According to reports, the pedestrians were hit by a 10-wheeler truck after it lost balance.
Local police reached the spot soon after the incident was reported. Those injured are being shifted to a nearby district hospital for treatment.
