Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to discuss arrangements for the Mega Youth Conference proposed to be organised in the district.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of stakeholder departments to discuss the schedule, programming of the event and the plan for the special activities to be organised across the district to engage the youth.
“The youth conference is part of the youth engagement program aiming to create a platform to encourage and inspire young people to realise their full potential in their respective community,” said the Deputy Commissioner while chairing the meeting.
He also said that the conference will provide young people with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of meaningful activities and to participate in constructive dialogue with youth representatives.
District Youth Coordinator, Nehru Yiva Kendra Rajouri, ACD, and District Youth services and sports Officer were directed to ensure the participation of youth clubs members constituted under Mission Youth in the conference, as it is a great opportunity to contribute to the positive development of the community and to enhance their individual well-being.
The meeting underlined the need to reactivate all the youth clubs in the district. The Chief Planning Officer was directed to constitute a committee to host the event in an effective manner.
The meeting also decided that a special panchayat level tournament would be organised across all the 312 Panchayats under this youth engagement programme.
The event will also feature inspirational talks by keynote speakers that will help motivate and encourage participants, besides cultural programs to promote local heritage.
The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri also directed the department to submit a Detailed Project Report for the construction of the District Youth Centre.
