Youth died in road mishap in Jammu

Samba: A 22-year-old youth died after being hit by truck in Bari Brahmana area of Samba yesterday.
As per report, the incident occurred on Jammu-Pathankot National highway when a bike-borne youth hit by a speeding truck (JK02H0577) from rear, resulting in on spot death of the biker. However, after hitting the victim the truck driver escaped from the crime scene.
After the incident, the locals and J&K police shifted the deceased’s body to a local hospital for post-mortem examination in Samba.
The deceased has been identified as Arif Chaudhary s/o Saleem Mohd r/o Meen Sarkar, Samba of Jammu.
The police have registered a case against the driver and an investigation has been started.
