On Thursday, an eight-year-old girl was reported missing from her home in Lolab, Kupwara district. Later on, her body was found with her throat slit. Police and witnesses confirmed this information.
According to witnesses, the body of the eight-year-old girl was found in a wooden shed located a few meters away from her house after she went missing on Thursday.
The motive behind the crime is currently unclear. Yougal Manhas, SSP Kupwara, informed reporters that the girl’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination and a case has been registered in connection with the incident.
According to local residents, the girl had gone out to a nearby shop, but did not return home, which led to her family initiating a search for her.
