Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to deliver a speech at a crucial political rally organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kathua on Wednesday (April 10).
The rally is strategically designed to strengthen the BJP’s electoral chances in Jammu and Kashmir as the Lok Sabha elections draw near.
Renowned as one of the most crucial star campaigners for the BJP, Yogi Adityanath’s presence is expected to invigorate the party’s base and galvanize support ahead of the upcoming elections.
The decision for Yogi Adityanath to venture beyond his home state underscores the significance accorded to the electoral battleground of Jammu & Kashmir by the Bhartiya Janta Party.
Despite having many important responsibilities in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath decided to come to Kathua because the Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit requested him to.
“The JK BJP unit wanted Yogi Adityanath to visit Kathua because they know he is very popular and can attract a large crowd,” one of the BJP leaders said.
The leader said that because of Yogi Adityanath’s strong support for Hindutva and his important role in building the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, he has become very popular among Hindu devotees.
“This popularity makes him a valuable asset for the BJP during elections”.
The leader added that choosing Kathua as the rally location is important because of its political significance.
“BJP plans to utilize Yogi Adityanath’s visit to sway voters in its favor. Additionally, scheduling the rally to coincide with Eid-ul-Fitr sends a strong message about the party’s stance and dedication,” the leader added.
Another BJP leader said that the main reason for bringing Yogi to Jammu & Kashmir is his ability to attract crowds.
“The BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit wants to make the most of every opportunity to gain support from the people of Jammu and Kashmir, stated the leader, highlighting the strategic importance of the decision.
Insiders in the BJP said that furthermore, the recent inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has significantly increased Yogi Adityanath’s popularity among devotees in the Jammu region.
“The efficient facilities provided by the Yogi government at the temple have earned widespread praise, enhancing his reputation as a Hindutva leader committed to the cause”.
With Yogi Adityanath poised to address the rally in Kathua, the BJP seeks to leverage his immense appeal and resonance to strengthen its electoral position and consolidate its presence in the crucial Jammu & Kashmir region.
