Yes, WhatsApp has turned green for many users so don’t blame your phone for it or look into settings

WhatsApp is one of the most-used applications worldwide, so whenever it rolls out changes, no matter how small, they don’t go unnoticed. Recently, the instant messaging app rolled out subtle changes to its interface for iOS users and changed it to a green-themed one instead of the traditional blue. The change began rolling out in February, but now users in India have also received the new update. More and more users are sharing their opinion about WhatsApp’s new look on X, and they aren’t exactly loving the new visual experience. So if you have also just received the green interface, you are not alone.

iOS users in India have started receiving WhatsApp’s new update in which the interface is green-themed instead of the usual blue. While on Android devices, WhatsApp had always had a green interface, the colour used to be a vibrant blue in iPhones. Right from the status bar to the chat-list window, everything has gone through a design change.

As mentioned already, the change began rolling out to users earlier this year but has reached more people now. In addition to the icons, even the links that are shared within the app have a green colour to them instead of the usual blue.

Meta had earlier revealed that the changes were to bring a “modern, new experience to WHatsApp and make it more accessible as well as easier to use.”

“We’ve made some changes to how WhatsApp looks and feels, including spacing, colours, icons and more. These changes bring a modern, new experience to WhatsApp and make it more accessible and easier to use,” the company said as per a report in The Sun.
