IPL 2023: Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh has claimed that Yashasvi Jaiswal isn’t just knocking on the doors of the Indian cricket team but he is breaking it after his phenomenal performance against KKR at the Eden Gardens on Thursday.

Jaiswal has been RR’s leading run-scorer this season and is a contender for the Orange Cap this season. The southpaw scored the fastest fifty in the history of the IPL as RR chased down 150 with nine wickets to spare on Thursday.

Jaiswal was unbeaten on 98 from 47 deliveries as the KKR bowlers had no answer for the onslaught from the RR opener. In the 12 matches he has played this season, Jaiswal has scored 575 runs at an average of 52.27.

IPL 2023: The praises have been coming in for the young batter, with the likes of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul leading the way. The latest to praise Jaiswal was Harbhajan.

Speaking on Star Sports after the match on Thursday, the former spinner claimed that Jaiswal is breaking down the door of the Indian cricket team with his consistent performances this season.

Harbhajan hailed Jaiswal’s talent and claimed that the future of Indian cricket is in good hands.

“Yashasvi Jaiswal isn’t just knocking at the doors of the Indian Cricket Team, he seems to be breaking it with his consistently good performances. He’s carried his imperious form of domestic cricket into IPL. What a talent he is! The future of Indian Cricket is in good hands,” said Harbhajan.
