WWE star Bray Wyatt dies: Bray Wyatt, the innovative and creative wrestling star, passed away at the age of 36, WWE chief content officer Triple H announced on social media. Wyatt, whose real name was Windham Rotunda, was renowned for pushing the boundaries of wrestling entertainment with his inventive characters.

Triple H wrote on X, “Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time,”.

“WWE is saddened to learn that Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, at age 36. WWE extends its condolences to Rotunda’s family, friends and fans,” WWE said.

Dwayne Johnson, known as ‘The Rock’, wrote: “I’m heartbroken over the news of Bray Wyatt’s passing. Always had tremendous respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. Loved his presence, promos, in ring work and connection with wwe universe. Very unique, cool and rare character, which is hard to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling. Still processing losing the goat, Terry Funk yesterday and now Bray today. My love, light, strength & mana to the Rotunda family and Funk family during this tough, heartbreaking time. As always, ‘thank you for the house’.

Wyatt had recently been missing from the WWE. His professional wrestling career began in 2009 with WWE, and after an unexpected hiatus between 2021 and 2022, he triumphantly returned in September of that year, enthralling fans with a sinister plot including cryptic vignettes that dramatically increased television ratings.

The 2019 introduction of “The Fiend,” a supernatural creature, was one of his most famous works. The Fiend stood in sharp contrast to Wyatt’s family-friendly alter persona, Firefly Funhouse, with a scary clown-like face.

Wyatt’s amazing inventiveness was on full display with this intricate dual character idea. The Fiend, despite being contentious due to its alleged invulnerability in the ring, attracted the attention of the crowd and became as a highlight of WWE television. His final contest took place at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
