WTC Final: Virat Kohli’s strong work ethic puts him ahead of the rest, says Australia’s Josh Hazlewood

WTC Final: Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood has said that Virat Kohli’s strong work ethic makes him stand out from the rest of the pack ahead of the World Test Championship final in England on 7th June. After what was one of the roughest patches for him in his career, Kohli has been amongst the runs in all formats of the game and carried this form into the recently-concluded IPL season. The Indian star batter was in prolific form for RCB as he scored 639 runs in 14 matches for the franchise at an average of 53.25. Kohli was able to hit two back-to-back hundreds in his last two games in the tournament as RCB missed out on making it to the Playoffs on the last day of the league matches. The Indian star will be one of the key wickets for Australia in the WTC Final and Hazlewood, who is Kohli’s RCB teammate, could be tasked with getting the big scalp. Speaking to ICC, the Aussie pacer was asked about sharing the dressing room with Kohli over the past two seasons, as said the Indian batter’s work ethic makes him stand out from the rest.

WTC Final: Hazlewood hailed the 34-year-old’s fitness and his other aspects of the game. Hazlewood also said that when it comes to training, Kohli is one of the first arrive and the last to leave and praised the intensity with which he trains.
