A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida was allegedly sexually harassed by two men while she was recording a video in the rain. The woman recorded a video statement detailing the incident.
Noida Police took cognisance of the matter and registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharat Nyay Sanhita based on the woman’s complaint. Officers are examining nearby CCTV footage to identify the accused. Police teams were also formed teams to arrest the accused. In a statement, Noida Police said, “Regarding the aforementioned incident, the victim lodged a complaint on August 3, 2024, at Sector 49 police station. A case has been promptly registered under the strictest sections. Investigations are underway, including reviewing CCTV footage from the location and surrounding areas where the woman was recording a video in the rain. Strict action will be taken today.
