Woman dies in Jammu, family blames in-laws

Jammu: A 26-year old woman allegedly consumed poison in Nanak Nagar area of Jammu and died at GMC Jammu last night yesterday.
According to the report, the matter came to light when a 26-year old woman from Doda who got married in Jammu’s Nagar area allegedly consumed poison two days ago in her in-laws house and passed away in GMC, Jammu hospital yesterday. However, the family of the victim has said that they cannot believe that their daughter can consume poison and has blamed her in-laws saying that they forced her to end her life.
The mother of the victim woman has said that her daughter’s husband and brother-in-law used to abuse, misbehave and beat her. “We demand death penalty for those who have killed my daughter”, she added.
The brother of the victim, father also demanded death penalty for the accused.
