At the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on 16 April, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru, breaking their own record for the highest team total in IPL history.
The clash between RCB and SRH was not an ordinary one, as many new records were made and broken.
The Sunrisers breached their previous record of scoring 277 runs against Mumbai Indians in the current IPL tournament. Not only the current total of 287 is the highest in IPL tournaments so far, but it is also the second-highest in T20 cricket history.
Kolkata Knight Riders had earlier come close to breaking Sunrisers Hyderabad’s record for the highest team score in an IPL match after it scored a mammoth 272 for seven against Delhi Capitals in Vizag on Wednesday.
