West Indies vs India: Virat Kohli has shared a heartwarming post with Rahul Dravid ahead of the Dominica Test against West Indies as both men return to Windsor Park after 12 years after being teammates in 2011 at the same venue.
This will be the first time in six years that Dominica will host a Test match, with the first one being in 2011 during India’s tour. The visitors would have a 1-0 lead in the series being led by MS Dhoni. However, Shivanarine Chanderpaul’s 116 did give them a scare in the match in Dominica.
The likes of Murali Vijay, Harbhajan Singh and Dravid helped India secure a draw in the match as they went on to clinch the series 1-0 in the end. A young Kohli was also part of the side for the match and scored 30 runs in the first innings.
West Indies vs India: Now with Tests returning to Dominica, Kohli decided to share a heartwarming post with the current Indian coach on social media. The star batter said he never imagined that both men would be back at the ground in different capacities after once being teammates.
“The only two guys part of the last test we played at Dominica in 2011. Never imagined the journey would bring us back here in different capacities. Highly grateful,” said Kohli.
