Public Outreach Programme was held today at four places across District Doda to listen to the issues and grievances of the people under the weekly Block Diwas.
The grievances redressal camps were held at Panchayat Chilli Bala, Sub Division Gandoh; Panchayat Ghar Ganotha, Sub Division Assar; Near Park Panchayat Trown, Block Bhalla, Sub District Bhaderwah; and Higher Secondary School Bhella, Sub Division Thathri.
Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan along with SSP, Abdul Qayoom, BDC Chairperson Chiralla, ACD, Dy Director Employment, CMO, CEO and other District and sectoral officers listened to the public grievances at Government Higher Secondary School Bhella.
Earlier, the DC and SSP inspected Tehsil Office Bhella and Police Post Karara. They interacted with the staff and assessed the online and offline services delivery mechanism in the Tehsil Office and Police Post.
They also visited Government Higher Secondary School Bhella and interacted with students and staff of the school.
Several public delegations, individuals besides PRI members projected the local demands and problems being faced by the public.
The locals demanded early construction of Bhella to Panchai road; Widening and upgradation of Karara -Bhella road; Release of compensation in favour of land owners of Thalela- Jagota Road; Receiving Station for the area; Meeting out the shortage of Doctors and staff at PHC Bhella; Establishment of ATM and Bank branch in the area; Augmentation and repair of water supply schemes; Additional infrastructure for Government High School Chagsoo and other schools; Augmentation of Transformer; Checking unscheduled power cuts and other related issues. The concerned officers were directed to address the genuine public grievances raised in the Block Diwas program today at an earliest.
The DC said that Block Diwas was aimed at getting first hand appraisal of the problems and developmental aspirations of the people. He informed that the District Administration has started a unique initiative ‘Apka Tehsildar Apkey Gaon Mai’ in which Tehsildars would visit one village on every Saturday to provide necessary services and awareness to the public at their doorsteps.
He called upon the field functionaries of different departments to work in close coordination to ensure prompt delivery of essential services especially during winter months.
The DC encouraged the People to learn to avail Online Services for efficient, transparent and corruption free governance.
The DC assured people that their demands will be redressed on priority by mobilizing all available resources Hee also made public aware of special initiatives of District Administration like Swach Gaon Sunder Gaon, Innovation Challenge, Know your Real Heroes, Talent haunt, School Prabhari scheme, Aap Ka Tehsildar Apkey Gaon Mai etc.
At panchayat Trown, the camp was presided over by ADC Bhaderwah Chowdhary Dil Mir. All the sectoral officers of Sub District Bhaderwah were present in the camp where a large number of public and PRIs presented their demands and issues which were disposed off giving directions to the concerned authorities for the time bound redressal.
At Panchayat Chilli Bala, SDM Arun Kumar Badyal interacted with the PRIs and the general public while at Panchayat Ganohta Tehsildar Assar addressed the genuine demands of the Public. At all designated locations, the daylong Block Diwas proceedings were witnessed. Public and PRIs put forth a range of issues/ demands. They demanded augmentation of water supply and electricity, macadamization of roads, meeting dearth of staff in schools and hospitals, upgradation of schools, banking facilities in rural areas, release of pending wages under MGNREGA etc.
The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave patient hearing to the issues and demands and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances raised pertaining to their departments and resolve the same at an earliest.
