To redress the public grievances at their doorsteps, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a public outreach camp at Panchayat Prat of block Siot as a part of weekly Block Diwas.
During the event, the public and their representatives highlighted a number of issues and demands of their areas. They demanded up-gradation of schools, posting of Urdu teacher at HSS Channi Prat, Widening of Thandapani Channi road, functioning of irrigation canals etc.
Other issues projected included implementation of JJM, holding of special camps for issuance of disability certificates, sanctioning of PHCs for interior areas etc.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing and passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers for the early redress of the genuine public concerns.
Responding to the issues and demands of the general public, the DC assured that their genuine concerns would be redressed in a phased manner.
Regarding the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, he said that the work on many schemes has been allotted and many are in tendering phase. “All the households of the district would be provided functional tap water connections with the implementation of JJM” he assured.
He further assured to organise special camps for issuance of disability certificates to clear the pendency in this regard.
About the sanctioning of new PHCs, he said that a proposal for four to five villages would be submitted in near future.
He further said that efforts would be made to complete all the incomplete Panchayat Ghars in the current month.
Regarding the issue of forest clearance for the construction of roads, the DC said that the District Administration is committed to provide road connectivity to every Hamlet and assured that all the forest clearance issues shall be resolved at the earliest.
The Deputy Commissioner also launched signature campaign under BBBP as a part of National Girl Child Day celebrations.
