Residents of several areas of Zakura here on city outskirts have complained of acute drinking water shortage.
They said the water shortage problem is persistent at Bismillah Colony, Choudhary Bagh, Shah-e-Hamdan Colony, and Mount View Colony. “We face immense problems as our taps have been running dry for the last several days. We took up the matter with concerned authorities but to no avail,” they said.
The residents urged the authorities to take measures for restoring water supply to these areas at the earliest.
