Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have supported me a lot: Kuldeep Yadav on recent success

first ODI Kuldeep Yadav, the talented Indian spinner, has attributed his recent success to the support and encouragement he received from senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Speaking about his improved performance, Kuldeep acknowledged the significant role played by the experienced duo in his development as a cricketer. He said, “Seniors play a big role. When I brought the changes in my game, Virat bhai and Rohit bhai supported me a lot. They have shown confidence in me. They are backing me.”

In the first ODI against West Indies at Bridgetown, Barbados, Kuldeep displayed his prowess as a top-class spinner, picking up remarkable figures of 4 for 6. He showcased an array of skills, including spin, flight, turn, bounce, and precision, making it difficult for the West Indian batters to counter his deliveries.

Despite his evident talent, Kuldeep has faced challenges in terms of team selection in recent times. He has been dropped from the playing XI on occasions, even after delivering outstanding performances for India. One such instance was in the second Test against Bangladesh last year, where he was left out despite taking eight wickets, including a fifer, and contributing 40 crucial runs in the first innings.

However, Kuldeep remains unfazed by such decisions, understanding the complexities of the game and the necessity of making strategic choices in certain situations. He stated, “Most of the time, when I don’t get to play, it is because of the situation and combination. It is a normal thing now, I have been playing cricket for so many years, it has been more than six years now. These things are normal.”
