Violence and extremist activities in Jammu and Kashmir are reduced: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah says that separatism and extremist activities are negligible in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the foundation day of the Central Industrial Security Force in Hyderabad, the Home Minister said that separatism and terrorism in any part of the country will be dealt with strictly. Amit Shah said that there has been a significant reduction in acts of violence in Jammu and Kashmir and the situation of peace is being restored.

He said that the misguided youth are now surrendering and joining the national mainstream.  In order to face the future challenges, the government is equipping the CRPF with modern weapons so that the force can effectively face the internal security challenges.

Shah said that various parts of the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, are facing challenges such as trade in fake currency, infiltration and drugs, which are being faced well.

Home Minister also said that the policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism will continue and no one will be allowed to disturb the peaceful environment of the country.
