Former India wrestler Vinesh Phogat has accused the Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha for not providing enough support during her tragic journey at the Paris Olympics 2024. Notably, Phogat became the first Indian woman to qualify for the wrestling final at the Games.

The 30-year-old had assured herself of at least a silver medal after qualifying for the summit clash of the women’s 50kg freestyle wrestling category. However, her dream journey at the quadrennial event came to a tragic end as she was disqualified on the morning of her final bout after failing at weigh-in, weighing 100g more than the permissible limit of the competition.
