Vikram Sharma, a Senior Advocate, has been elected as the new President of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, while Advocate Amit Gupta has been elected as the new Vice President.
Parvesh Singh Salaria has been elected as new general secretary, Chetan Misri has been elected as new joint secretary and Utkarsh Pathania as cashier of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association.
According to Senior Advocate MK Bhardwaj, former president of the Bar Association, who acted as Returning Officer, Advocate Senior Vikram Sharma secured 792 votes to win the presidential chair. The other contenders for the post namely Advocate Nirmal Kotwal secured 517 votes, Advocate Sachin Gupta secured 415 votes and Senior Advocate Surinder Kour secured 165 votes respectively.
