Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur calls for timely, qualitative completion of works

Juhi Pathania, Vice Chairperson District Development Council, Udhampur today met scores of public deputations at her office at DC Office Complex.
People apprised her about a number of issues and the demands of their respective areas and sought early redressal of the same. The delegations raised demands ranging from health, education & tourism facilities, strengthening of road network & power infrastructure besides others.
The Vice Chairperson gave a patient hearing and assured them to take the issues at the appropriate forum.
Interacting with the deputations, she said that the aim of holding public interactions is in the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas objective”. Rather it is a sincere attempt to have direct interaction with the masses and provide best possible solutions to their day to day administrative and development issues, she added.
Several deputations and individuals projected their issues on the occasion and sought the intervention of the DDC Vice chairperson in resolving their issues.
Parshotam Kumar, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Bredian led a delegation and projected the demands of the Panchayat. He sought black topping of roads, sanctioning of electricity transformers and installation of handpump in Panchayat Bredian. He also called for spurring developmental activities in the area.
Madan Lal, Sarpanch Sountha sought repair of dysfunctional hand pumps, while Subash Chander, Sarpanch Darsoo sought road from main road to Gudar under NABARD.
Amongst others, issues pertained to augmentation of drinking water, installation of lights and repair of lane drains, NABARD roads and bus services, provision of human and animal healthcare, flood protection and restoration of public utilities were espoused by a wide rainbow of deputations with references and telephone calls to concerned officials.
Juhi called upon the PRIs to work with zeal and promote harmony and mutual brotherhood amongst the society. She condemned attack on innocent citizens at Dhangri, Rajouri. She said that fight against terrorism is in a decisive stage. We should vow to fight and stamp out terror lock, stock and barrel from Indian soil, she added.
